There are several restaurants in the quaint town of Lake Lure, ranging in fare from old world Italian or German dining to casual Tiki bar drinks. Just down the road from Lake Lure is Chimney Rock Park, a thousand-acre pet-friendly park whose main attractions are the 404-foot high Hickory Nut Falls and breathtaking Exclamation Point, which offers a stunning view of the gorge below. Nearby attractions also include gem mining and whitewater rafting.
Asheville, North Carolina, a popular destination for entertainment and fine dining, is a forty-minute trip from The Camp. Asheville area attractions include the 1898 Biltmore Estate, the five-star spa at Grove Park Inn, award-winning golf courses, historic trolley tours of downtown Asheville, and Beer City USA's many local breweries.
