Kids LOVE The Camp! …sporting some vintage Camp Mishemokwa jackets!

The fundamentals of a great vacation include family activities with your kids and pampering for yourself. The Camp offers the perfect blend of opportunities for quality family time and precious grown-up time.

As you and your family drive up the mountain road from the nearby town of Bat Cave, it’s right about where the pavement turns to gravel that your worries begin to fade. Rolling your window down, you get your first whiff of what’s to come: cool mountain air laced with pine scent and a tinge of hamburgers grilling somewhere nearby. By day’s end, you’ll hear the shrill screams of children whizzing down the twisted water slide and landing with a giant splash. Maybe a few hits at the punching bag in the exercise room or a lazy day in the heated pool is what you need to leave the “real world” behind. The Camp offers your family an escape to your own mountain paradise.

After a home-cooked meal in one of The Camp’s fully-equipped kitchens, stroll along the paved path together and take in the view as the sun sets behind Little Mount Pisgah, then catch the last half-hour of light throwing your line out over the fishing pond. There’s plenty to do in the evening; the indoor Gymnasium is well lit, the arcade offers games like Pacman and foosball, and telling ghost stories around a bonfire is a treasured family ritual. The Camp also provides plenty of firewood so that your gooey Smores cooked on a stick will make you giggle like you haven’t in years.

All of the homes at The Camp feature kids’ quarters with bunk beds, and Cloud 9 and Eagle’s Nest feature a separate den for the kids with their own flat-screen television. Adult bedrooms have separate entrances and bathrooms. The Camp is a private, gated estate, so parents can feel safe to allow their children to roam and explore.
